Home invasion On duty Pets Minor Shooting Damage to property Strip search Illegal search/seizure Gun Drug charges
Plaintiff: Antonie Glasper
Incident date: 08/19/2015
Location: 7325 S. Kimbark Ave.
Glasper and his family were at home one afternoon when officers entered the apartment, breaking down the front door. The officers, who were wearing military-style face masks, approached Glasper in the kitchen with their guns drawn. Glasper was kneeling, grasping his dog, Rozay, to his chest before the officers grabbed him. With guns pointed at him, Glasper asked the officers if he could lock Rozay in the bathroom or in his cage. The officers refused and told him to let go of the dog. Glasper let go of Rozay, and Officer Wherfel fired several shots, killing the dog. The officers pulled Glasper's son, a minor, and his fiancé's 21-year-old son who had Autism into one of the bedrooms while an officer strip-searched Glasper. The officer ordered Glasper to bend over and searched his anal cavity. After searching the apartment, the officers released the boys but arrested and charged Glasper with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Glasper was released after posting bond. The charges against him were dismissed.
