$100,000

FALSE ARREST

Stop and frisk On duty Destroy/conceal/fabricate evidence False arrest or report Weapons charges

Plaintiff: Jermel Jackson

Incident date: 02/14/2015

Location: 228 W 43rd St.

Allegations:

Lieutenant Jerome arrested Jackson around 2 a.m. Officers Gorman and Pronek arrived later and searched Jackson for contraband, and found none. Afterward, Officers Exclusa and Pfeifer showed up and put Jackson into the back of their squad car to take him to the police station. After delivering Jackson into custody the officers then found a handgun in the rear passenger seat of their car. Together the officers drafted a false report stating that the first officers didn't thoroughly search Jackson, and that he removed the gun from his shoe while he was handcuffed. Jackson was detained for possession of the firearm.
