Allegations:
James provides cleaning and decluttering services and is authorized to remove all items from his clients' homes. He was cleaning a client's house when he found an antique gun, which he placed inside a gun case and under a blanket. James was taking the gun outside to his car when Officers Rivera, Styczynski, and Jauregui stopped and searched him. When the officers found the antique gun, they arrested James and took him to a police station. James was falsely charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and was kept in custody for 39 days before posting bond. He was found not guilty eight months later.
