Allegations:
Ross was outside about a block from her house in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood when she saw Officers Flores and Hernandez pull up in a police car, get out and start assaulting an African-American man. Ross questioned the officers' actions and asked Flores why the man was being arrested. Flores hit Ross above the eye with a baton, cutting her right eyebrow. The officers then tackled Ross to the ground and arrested her. Ross was taken to a hospital to receive stitches for the cut above her eye. The officers filed false reports charging Ross with assault, battery and resisting arrest. Two months later, the charges against her were dismissed.
