Allegations:
Murphy was on a CTA Red Line train heading to work when officers arrested him. Murphy had paid for his ticket and was not breaking any laws. In the course of handcuffing him, Officer Mabery struck Murphy's hand with a police baton. After being transported to the police station, Murphy was denied medical treatment for his hand, which was swollen and painful. He was also denied treatment for his epilepsy. He was subsequently charged with trespassing and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. The charges were later dropped.
