Allegations:
Roberts was at a gathering where several people got in an argument. Roberts was not involved and left. As she was leaving with a friend, she noticed several police officers outside. Three of the officers grabbed her friend and began to arrest him. Roberts continued to walk, and as she approached the street, an unknown officer quickly came up to her and struck her in the face with a hard metal object. The force of the blow led Roberts to stumble into a parked car before falling to the ground, losing consciousness. Roberts regained consciousness in an ambulance, and was taken to a hospital where she underwent treatment, testing and stayed overnight. Roberts lost a tooth and suffered a facial fracture, bruising and ongoing headaches. Because of her injuries, Roberts was unable to return to work right away and lost her job.
