Allegations:
Peterson was walking on the sidewalk when one or more police officers stopped and searched him. The officers arrested Peterson and took him to a police station, where he was handcuffed to a bench. One or more officers hit Peterson multiple times on his face and body, and choked him around the neck. Peterson was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries before he was falsely arrested on suspicion of drug charges and battery to an officer. Peterson spent about 13 months in Cook County Jail before he was found not guilty of both charges.
