Plaintiff:
Mary Fesenmaier
Incident date:
05/20/2012
Location:
2200 S. Michigan Ave.
Allegations:
Fesenmaier, a Wisconsin resident, was at an anti-NATO protest when she saw an officer choking a protester. When she yelled at the officer to stop, Sgt. Terrazas tackled her, which caused her to knock her head on the ground and black out. When she regained consciousness, the sergeant smashed his thumb into her eye, twisted her arms and handcuffed her, then took her to a squad car and told Officer Larson to arrest her. She was falsely charged with aggravated battery to a police officer. The case was later dismissed.
