Allegations:
A 22-year-old woman was near the Red Line station at Addison Street and Sheffield Avenue when Officers Clavijo and Vasquez offered to drive her home. The officers told her she couldn't sit in the back and would have to sit on Clavijo's lap. Vasquez drove to a liquor store, and while he was inside, Clavijo sexually assaulted her. When they arrived at her home, both officers insisted on coming inside, where they sexually assaulted her. The woman broke free and ran out into the hallway of her apartment building, screaming for help. She was treated at a hospital and reported the incident to the Chicago Police Department. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office charged the officers with criminal sexual assault and official misconduct.
