Allegations:
Brown was with her boyfriend in a parked car when Officers Vivanco, Habiak and Johnson approached and asked Brown's boyfriend to get out of the car. He complied, and the officers searched him while Vivanco grabbed Brown and pulled her out of the car. When Brown asked Vivanco why he was gripping her arm so tightly, he punched her in the right eye and she fell to the ground. Vivanco and Habiak hit Brown while she was curled up on the ground, handcuffed her and had a female officer search Brown. Brown was taken to a hospital, where she received treatment for her facial injuries. Later, she was taken to a police station where she was held until she posted bond. Brown spent about 12 hours in police custody, and was falsely charged with resisting an officer, battery and marijuana possession. To hide their abuse, the officers also filed false reports saying Brown had fallen on her face. About six months later, Brown was found not guilty of all charges.
