Allegations:
Guzman was in her West Town apartment when more than 10 officers forced their way into her home with their guns drawn. Guzman was more than seven months pregnant at the time of the search warrant, alone and wearing only a T-shirt. She was unable to put on a pair of pants before the officers kicked in the front door to her apartment. The officers were looking for a man who had not lived in that residence for years—information that could have been verified with a simple search into the man's multiple arrests. An officer grabbed Guzman by the arm and ordered her to get down on the ground. To keep her from getting up, the officer applied force to her back, where for fifteen minutes, her knee pressed into her stomach. The remaining officers searched the home. Officers did not allow her husband to enter the apartment until the search was complete. No weapons, drugs or evidence of illegal activity were found. Guzman felt as if she was about to give birth and was treated at the hospital.
